I don't know for you, but for me It is hard to decide which classes to attend each year. I know for me it is hard to decide which ones to spend your money on. Second, which classes you can take time off to attend or that line up with your days off. Also, another large factor that influences my decisions is how far do I have to travel to get to the class. Another factor that should play a role in your decisions is, what do I need to work on? What are some of my weaknesses? Sure, still sign up for those classes that you really enjoy and have been wanting to take but also consider taking another class or two on things that you need to work on.
If you don't have a lot of medical knowledge, maybe sign up for a medical class. This information is invaluable and can be applied to your everyday life. There are companies such as Dark Angel Medical or even classes that introduce medical knowledge to you and have you apply it through the class such as John Murphy's Concealed Carry: Street Encounter Skills and Tactics class, the Well, That Sucks... Class by Centrifuge Training. Another option if you don't want to have to travel to far is to take a local Stop the Bleed Class. If you are looking for even more medical knowledge you can always take an EMT Basic course or EMT Advanced course in your area.
If you don't have a lot of experience in hand to hand fighting, you can always sign up to a local fighting gym in your area. We have a fair amount to choose from in this area. You can also sign up for some of the traveling instructor's classes such as Brian Hill Classes from his company The Complete Combatant.
If you are looking to put a red dot on your handgun or already have and looking to get better at it, Scott Jedlinski of Modern Samurai Project puts on a great class and travels all over the country. There are also other great traveling instructors that are putting on red dot classes now. If you are looking to try it out and don't want to have to travel, you can attend one of our red dot clinic classes that we will be offering this year. You are welcome to bring your own gun with a red dot or show up and try out an assortment of different guns with different red dots that we will have to choose from to help you see which guns and which red dots might work best for you.
Have a great weekend and we look forward to training with you!
